Tips for entertaining kids’ parties should include unique entertainment. How about learning how to twist your own balloons? This is always a big hit at any party with children. After learning how to twist balloons, I decided to bring a handful of balloons to the park and practice. You wouldn’t believe the amount of kids circling around me. I twisted up animals until I was out of balloons. A mother I met there, paid me to do it at her son’s birthday, two weeks later. I definitely didn’t see that coming.
St. Louis events: If you’ll be in the St. Louis area during May, here are a few dog-related events of note. From May 3 to May 19, the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog (1721 S. Mason Road, Ballwin) will present “The Dachshund in Art!” in conjunction with the Dachshund Club of America’s national specialty. The specialty runs from May 15 to May 18 at the Purina Farms event center (300 Checkerboard Loop, Gray Summit). And also on May 18, the Humane Society of Missouri hosts its Bark in the Park festival in Forest Park.

For older kids you could throw a karaoke party. There are programs you can buy, that will turn your computer into a karaoke machine. The cool part is you can use the music from your personal mp3’s, movies and more. All you’ll need is a couple of microphones. The possibilities are endless when entertaining kids parties or just about any party. Entertaining a kid’s party gets easier with their own music.
In time the students were performing wonderfully and creating unique designs of their own. Drawn in by all the excitement, even college professors participated in the act by showcasing their Chinese opera mask skills using cake makeup as opposed to traditional grease paints. In the long run it was Mission Accomplished! Fantasy face painting and airbrush tattoos were so well received that Chinese institutions planned to offer it as a new curriculum. As well, the U.S. troop was invited to return to China for later events.
To save time, use stencils! After all, most of us cannot paint stars, balloons and hearts of different sizes consistently better than the stencils. So, pack a few unique and nice stencils with you whenever you set off to a party. And remember to use them.
